That vest is fabulous! 🤗
Question...is this tie knot similar to the Arbor knot or "Canadian Jam" knot? 🤔
So this is a hard to unbind once fixed slipknot with semi adjustable length limited by the straight knot on the root end, and straight knot on the working end to prevent it from untying.
That's 5 different bowlines
Are you going to do the Eskimo bowline as well?
Great name! Curious if you had brothers and sisters with cool names as well? My question to you is should I watch the shorter vision videos that you show how to use the knots before I watch the videos 365 days worth of knots? I like the fact that you’re showing the best way to utilize the knots even though I’m interested just casually and how to do different knots! Something to learn. Anyway, well taught and I will be definitely coming to your channel and I definitely subscribed.
Thank you! If you follow along with the shorts we’ll be building each week!
Is that a stronger knot than an alpine butterfly?
I personally prefer the Alpine Butterfly.
Wherever possible add untying too😊
When would you use this over a standard bowline?
It works better in large jars to handle rope or rope that is especially slippery
@@CreekStewart excellent. Thanks Creek! Great series!
Jars? @@CreekStewart
Florida georgia line fans l see.
Personal favorite 😉👍
Me too!
Thanks!
Creek! You should add these videos to a playlist that way we can share the entire series with others!

I like this series and even though these are simple and I know most of them I like how it's building. Please continue to go slowly as you build into the more complicated knots. Thanks!
Very handsome knot
Nice and fire on my friend 🔥
Alpine Butterfly
Alpine butterfly
And what good is this for?
It's a fixed loop you can anchor to. It also makes a great lantern holder in the middle of your ridgeline.
It can be loaded in any direction. Can be tied without requiring and end of the rope.
Thank you Creek. I especially loved the swallows.
Creek Stewart...thank you for showing so far the basic, yet solid teachings of knot tying knowledge. I've been a big fan of your website all the way back in the series, "FAT GUYS IN THE WOODS". You are an inspiration to many for big guys like me, in getting out there in the woods...to lose ourself on order to find ourself...being one with nature and living it. Thank you for these videos...God bless you and your family as well...stay in the woods and keep the "fire" going
Thanks brother!
Военно морской пограничный запутанный узел
Goodluck on your journey may god blessnyou
Will you also do a video showing different ways to tie a bowline, i.e. beginning with a marline spike hitch?
Lots on bowline later
I like this one
Had to watch this one a couple of times 🤠👍
I subscribed... I'm 67 female and work outside now that I retired. I work/play in my big yard/pasture for 8-10hrs ❤ with pure joy! I'm doing the "Round2it" stuff 😂. While doing projects and testing out new ways to raise vegetable gardening.Imwanting to learn new ways to use cording/rope. Your channel would be a big help. Ty in Texas❤
I like this one. Easy and sturdy
Wouldn’t folding the socks over the roll like that cause them to stretch out?
Not if using good quality socks like smart wool. The roll is smaller than my ankle if that helps for perspective.
Checking in and giving a 👍🏻 every day.
I see the progressive pattern in the knots. It will make them easy to remember. 👍🏻
So far, so good! Great skill for young and old alike.
Yes and AMEN!!
Could be a weathered log, shaped by forces of nature. Also looks like it could be used as a giant floater. My $0.02. Sawed down the middle and the halves hollowed out, would make two really nice bowls.
If you still have it, I’d say have a little fun. Display it at Thunder Crow as an egg from a Thunder Crow.
What did you sprinkle them with?
Thank you! I've been trying to train production operators to do that correctly forever!
One down, 364 to go, lol. This is going to be good. Most people only know I’m guessing around 10 different knots. And you’re aiming for 365! That would make another awesome book Creek, hint hint, 👍
I'm excited for this year long series.
Thanks for following along!
Ha.... You could do a week on the slip knot alone!
So true!
Creek Stewart- Love the fact that you are providing "365 Days of Knots" as a RUclips video series. All the best on your endeavors... always looking forward to your creative, resourceful, and beneficial content. Happy Trails! 🇺🇸 🏕 🪢
Thanks Paula!
Salute 🎉❤
❤
I'm excited to learn new techniques from this series! Thanks, Creek! :-D
Thanks for following along!
How about an overhand on a bight next?
I’m a visual person so this is better than a book for me.
Awesome!
Thanks for doing this!
Yes!
He mentions some uses in the description of the video. I also use this one as part of a Canadian Jam Knot to secure the tag end. It gives more surface area for the rest of the knot to bite onto and also makes grabbing the tail end and releasing the knot a little easier. It's also great for a small lanyard on a knife, the type used for blades deep set into their sheathes where a little extra purchase helps in drawing.
Really enjoying learning the knots. Thank you Creek! Visually easy to understand.
What are some uses of this knot?
